The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie two Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions to the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering solutions such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency claimed it really is alarmed with regards to the large number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The aim on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a substantial amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office focused on service the area regularly. The services position made for intervention ordeals a substantial inflow of possible beneficiaries, which makes it tricky for the office to attend to all people who SRD check out a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more resources to enable the servicing of all customers and boost use of Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
